About Me

Trivial information about a trivia host. See what I did there? That’s funny.

But for real, here’s a bit of info. To start, you should know that I find myself hilarious and if one person laughs at a (quite often lame) joke, that is enough to keep me telling it for all eternity.

My rates for events and expenses are reasonable, wherever you are. Just reach out and we’ll find a solution that works!

Like many children, I was born. And then…

I’ve been some places, I’ve done some things. It’s been a heck of a ride so far, but I couldn’t be happier to be right here, right now, getting ready to host some trivia with you. Hosting trivia started for me back in 2016 at Sawdust City Brewery in Gravenhurst, and as of January 2024, I’ve hosted almost 600 events, both online and in person, for all kinds of companies and all kinds of people (click here to see more).

Personally, my career path is best described as non-linear. I grew up in Uxbridge, Ontario and attended Uxbridge Secondary School, which was one of the backdrops for the 2000 classic movie Gossip, starring Kate Hudson and Joshua Jackson. I have a History degree from the University of Ottawa. I spent ten years working in the corporate sports world in Calgary. I was the sales manager for one of Ontario’s best craft breweries. My most recent “job” was as the Executive Director of the Chamber of Commerce in Gravenhurst, Ontario, and I’ve done a ton of other fun stuff in between.

I’ve been fortunate to travel a lot. I’ve been fortunate to call some wonderful places home, and I’ve got some of the best friends a fella could ask for - some of them are pushing four decades putting up with me. And there’s this little blonde curly person who is my absolute favourite human in the world.

Currently, I manage a couple of side hustles to go along with this full-time trivia gig. You can check them out at Greeting Cards for Assholes and Greenish. Life’s good, it sure can be fun, there’s laughs to be had, and I’d like to share a few with you and your crew.

I currently live in Gravenhurst, less than two hours from Toronto, so I’m easily accessible to that market, and I’m willing to travel anywhere for great events!

Wanna know more? I’m happy to talk to you. Reach out anytime!

I’m a big fan of pop culture, music, sports, and random information. I get caught down rabbit holes researching things all the time.

Also, I try to capture the spirit of every event I’m part of, so be ready for that.

Disclaimer: I am not a Chicago fan but I AM a Christmas Vacation fan, and I’m always up for some fun.

Other Things I Do:

I wear a lot of hats. Figuratively, and also in real life. I think the “wearing a hat all the time” thing comes from a childhood fear of turning into a mannequin without one. Thanks for that, Today’s Special.

I’ve been called a “serial entrepreneur” and told “you do too many things,” which are both accurate statements, but it’s fun to try new things.

Check out my side hustles below!

Greeting Cards for Assholes
